Lia Hide is a unique dark art / progressive pop artist from Greece. She has released 3 studio albums, a remix album, a reissued album, and the music she composed for the dance drama "Genocide". She also enjoyed a prolific recording and performing past in the Greek Electronica scene in the 00's. She has shared the stage and collaborated with Tricky, Joseph van Wissem, Anneke van Giersbergen, Keep Shelly in Athens, Molly Nilsson, Kovacs, Kadebostany, Robin Skouteris and has been touring Greece and Europe extensively, during the past four years, while having also performed in the US and Canada. The solid ground of her sound is her virtuosity on the keyboard, her strong and versatile voice and her amazing rhythm section (Giorgio Rado, Aki’Base). Experimenting on song lengths and arrangements, post punkish elements merge with radio friendly landscapes, while her lyrics discuss adulthood, social injustice, existential crisis and broken hearts. Her singing is as always precisely articulated, versatile through strong high notes, ethereal softness and velvet depths.
Lia Hide's second album was released in 2017, an album that defined her sound, including the now classic sad and dreamy “Rembrandt”. The album was originally mastered by multi award winner Adam Ayan (NIN), and is now reissued by Amour Records, after being completely sold out, in a special edition, including remixes of the original songs, and Lia Hide's cover of Massive Attack's Teardrop. The CD album comes in an eco-leather envelope pouch, in a gatefold eco-digisleeve.
A year after the release of “Tells No Fairytales” (2019), the multitasking and prolific songstress Lia Hide invited the crème de la crème of Greece's electronic (and not only) artists to redress her songs. The result is “Fairytales Remixed”, a, 13 track, electro album of fine esthetic quality that features fresh sounds in a wide spectrum of Ambient to House, Minimal Techno to and Chill-Out, with Pop and EBM/Dark Wave surprise-productions. The album is released in a three fold eco-digisleeve (CD). Featuring works by Tareq, ELIOT, Robin Skouteris, Monsieur Minimal, RUNES, Incirrina, RSN, KBHTA and more.
The album was recorded in three different historical Athens' studios, and was mastered by the amazing Denis Blackham. This is a pure dark pop gem that can't fail you: with aerie aethereal songs, power driven angry belting dark requiems, ToriAmos-piano-like bouncing songs and cinematic woven sad love-gone-bads. Originally released under her own indie label DONTHIDEME, the album is now available from Amour Record's shop, in a luxury gatefold eco-digisleeve, with a bookmark wrap gift, and four “dictionary” cards. The album is also available in vinyl (180gr), (in a collaboration with B-Other Side Records).
A luxurious pack with both CD albums in a gatefold eco-digisleeve, 5 additional details cards and a bookmark gift.
